Love and a 45 (RPM Record)

Posted on/at 11:01 AM by Web Thing

Anyone remember the 45 RPM record?

Remember that funky little doohicky that that you needed to keep it on the turntable? Remember trying to get along without one, with either perfect placement (which never worked) or trying to fashion your own with scotch tape and cardboard - among other things?

************ Band T Shirts ***************

Bring the nostalgia back! Your neighbors will drift off to a far away place when they see this shirt - and thier kids will think its a cool design - having absolutely no frame of reference to what it actually is.

I totally dig this kind of juxtaposition (is that the right word?)

Either way, kudos to the folks at Symbols on Stuff for this simple yet evocative t shirt.

Want one? Want 2? Remember, you can never have too many 45 RPM record adaptors hanging around. Other colors available too! Get em here: 45 RMP Record Adapter T Shirt.

Political T Shirts Go Retro with RetroCampaigns.com

Posted on/at 8:04 AM by Web Thing

OK, so it's only June and I'm pretty much tired of hearing about the top 3 (2 now, but one won't go away) Presidential hopefuls.

Want a taste of a simpler time? Well, maybe not all that simple - but simple for me ... mainly because I was only 3 years old. I have to admit, the only thing I remember about Jimmy Carter is peanuts. Either way, the great retro look of this t shirt makes it worth wearing all on its own - no matter what your political views (then or now).

Go back in time with this and many more retro political campaign t shirts from Retro Campaigns. (The site also has a bunch of great & notable qoutes from the historical political figures that they feature)

This Jimmy Carter '76 Tshirt will run you a measley $19.99.

Cool Hot Coffee T Shirt from Biticol

Posted on/at 5:36 PM by Web Thing

One of the few things I like more than a great t shirt is a cup of coffee - (and I am not nearly as picky about my coffee)

This one from BITICOL has a nice little twist - the vapor from the coffee looks like some kind of skull ... I'm not sure what they are getting at here, but it'still a really great shirt. Maybe something about coffee being bad for you? Maybe the coffee is loaded with those spirits that us Irish folks like. Why can't I tell you? Easy - the site is completely in Spanish right now - but no worries ... English (and French versions, for you Canadiens) are right around the corner.

Get your coffee t-shirt from Bitiol.es for 11 (whatever the Spanish currency is)

Artcotic T Shirts - These Guys are Dropping Bombs!

Posted on/at 11:03 AM by Web Thing

Every once in a while I get clued into something special. Sure, it involves t-shirts, but sometimes it's much, much more. In steps Artcotic. Want tees produced on high quality shirts AND kick ass designs? Want to know what makes the artist tick who designed your shirt? Want more?

Go to Artcotic and get more. More shirts, more artist info - heck, even more music.

I could go on and on - but you should really just go check them out for yourself.

This shirt is called "Bird of Prey", for obvious reasons. It's $24.99 and get this - it's a limited edition print. Now there's only 249 other guys out there that I have to worry about ruining my day by wearing MY shirt. Those are Vegas odds I can live with.

Thanks Artcotic - keep doing what you do, and we will keep enjoying it.

Clever Obama T-Shirt

Posted on/at 12:41 PM by Web Thing

So, like most people I generally avoid 2 topics at all cost; religion and poitics. I'll make an exception here, only because I feel that this t-shirt is oh so clever. A new friend thought I might be interested in posting about this Obama T-Shirt, and she was right!

Obama is the New Black

Acropolis T-Shirt; Regression

Posted on/at 8:26 PM by Web Thing

At first glance, at least to me, this Acropolis t-shirt named Regression looks as if they Acropolis logo is is being used as a tent, just outside the city limits.

Again, maybe it's just me; but while other people I know, work with or associate with fantasize about the 3 bedroom home 2.5 kids, plasma TV's and company picknics ... my guilty pleasure lies in a totally different direction ... If I'm sitting at my desk in the mid afternoon, staring off into space with a slight smile on my face - it's a fantasy that involves a 1970 something RV and a full tank of gas. When I run low on fuel ... wash dishes for a day or two ... fuel up, and move on. While to some that scenerio may appear to be regression, and maybe it is ... maybe that's exactly what we (or some of us anyway) really need.

Maybe progress is overrated.

Although I can's say for sure what the men and women of Acropolis were truly driving at, it's a darn cool t-shirt. Art IS still subject to interpretation isn't it?

So, Tell Me How You Really Feel ...

Posted on/at 9:30 AM by Web Thing

No One Cares About Your Blog
This one would have hurt my feelings ... if it weren't so doggone funny! It isn't bad enough that you have to listen to people drone on and on in person, but now everyone and their grandmother has a blog - where they can express these usless, rambling opinions to the world. Now if this line also included stuff like "No one cares about your ailments", "No one cares about your relationship troubles", "No one cares that your parents suck"; so forth and so on - we would have a t-shirt for every social (or antisocial) occassion. Snag this tee for 20 bucks at one horse shy.
