80's Tees; Summer Clearance Sale $4.99 and up!

Posted on/at 9:23 AM by Web Thing

It's a Snappy New Day, and a great day for a clearance sale!

Act now, while 80stees.com has this tremendous t shirt sale going on!
This vintage Mr. Rogers t shirt is just $4.99 - that less than the foot long sandwich you plan on consuming for lunch!

Prices vary at the 80's tees summer clearance sale, and while the $4.99 tees are somewhat rare, there are a plethora of goodies to be had for just 9.99, and I think some more for $12.99.

Load up. Summer is t shirt season (even thoughI wear 'em year round) At these prices, I think there retro classics are cheaper than they were 20 years ago. (That woulda been in the 80's, get it?)

Looney Toons T-Shirt - Featuring Vintage Tiny Toons

Posted on/at 9:40 AM by Web Thing

Vintage Looney Tunes Tiny Tune Tee Shirt

Featuring Buster & Babes

So, I was out looking for some vintage t shirt goodies to add to my collection and found this gem at tshirts.jbgrady.com.

While I will admit I'm more of the Classic Looney Toons age, and missed the Tiny Toon era by quite a few years - the vintage look of this t shirt really looks great. The vintage wash on the black shirt makes it more o f a charcoal grey and I really love the distressed logo, giving it real classic appeal.

Keep in mind this is a "slim fit" t ... (I think because back in the 70's people were thinner - before corn syrup hit the shelves) ... but that's another story for another time ... so you may want to order this baby a size or two (it's 100% cotton, so expect further shrinkage) larger than you normally would.

Get your Looney Toons Vintage Tiny Toon T Shirt for just $17.95 at tshirts.jbgrady.com.

Love and a 45 (RPM Record)

Posted on/at 11:01 AM by Web Thing

Anyone remember the 45 RPM record?

Remember that funky little doohicky that that you needed to keep it on the turntable? Remember trying to get along without one, with either perfect placement (which never worked) or trying to fashion your own with scotch tape and cardboard - among other things?

Bring the nostalgia back! Your neighbors will drift off to a far away place when they see this shirt - and thier kids will think its a cool design - having absolutely no frame of reference to what it actually is.

I totally dig this kind of juxtaposition (is that the right word?)

Either way, kudos to the folks at Symbols on Stuff for this simple yet evocative t shirt.

Want one? Want 2? Remember, you can never have too many 45 RPM record adaptors hanging around. Other colors available too! Get em here: 45 RMP Record Adapter T Shirt.

Trains & Ducks Groovey Retro Iron-On Goodies

Posted on/at 10:12 AM by Web Thing

Does anyone remember the T-Shirt shop? When I was a kid, it was a big deal to go to the t-shirt shop, pick out a design get my very own "custom made" t-shirt. Those were the days man ... iron ons ruled the t-shirt landscape. Recapture your youth with the iron-on-esque looking retro stuff at Retro Duck. This train doesn't really capture the colorful and sometimes sparkely iron-on thing, you will have to go to their site to see the others ... but I would actually wear this one they call Train in Snow T-Shirt ... and at $15, I don't think the prices have changed since I was a tot in the late 70's either.

Free T-Shirt, Well ... Gluten Free Anyway...

Posted on/at 6:50 PM by Web Thing

OK, so it's not really free. Niether was Pepsi Free or a bunch of other national products. Sorry if you feel duped. This t-shirt is all about being gluten free. I honestly can't tell you if it's touting a diet fad or some sort of physical intolerance ... but I can tell you this outfit puts together some groovey duds. Love the Scooby style van and retro text. Another ringer for your collection. Fetch this puppy (as well as other gluten free related stuff; if you're into that sort of thing) at Celiac.com for under 17 bucks.

80's Retro Cool

Posted on/at 12:10 PM by Web Thing

I was there ... waiting with arms open when Video Killed the Radio Star first aired What an innocent time, cable TV was new (and the "remote" was still attached to the television with a 15 foot cord).Looking back now everything they showed was horribly cheesy and we ate it up! Well, it was the 80's and horribly cheesy was the name of the game. Back when Michael Jackson was king, Madonna was a sexy intreguing young woman, and every girl in gym class was wearing legwarmers.

Long gone are the days of the music vidoes all day long on MTV. But now you can look back and say "Been there, done that" and for those of you that missed out ... the t shirt is still available. Check it out at 80's tees.com
